Lay length: 50 mm (20 twists/m).
Communication conductor: 22AWG copper conductor with PVC insulation (for more than three pairs or triads).
Shield: Overall or individual and overall aluminium/polyester tape helical wrap plus tinned-copper drain-wire conductor, 7-wire stranding, class B.
Sheath: PVC; fire-retardant; sunlight and hydrocarbon-resistant.

Stripping: Polyamide ripcord under the sheath.

Insulation: High-density polyethylene, UL Listed PLTC.
Sheath: Fire-retardant and mineral-oil-resistant.
Armour: Zinc-plated steel served-wire helical armour or aluminium interlock armour plus PVC sheath (colour coded depending on the alloy and requirement); fire-retardant; sunlight and hydrocarbon-resistant. These cables are UL certified for direct earth burial.

installation

Assembly: Minimum bend radius is 7xOD (unarmoured versions) and 12xOD (armoured versions).
Maximum pulling tension: 5daN/sq mm on copper conductors. Wire-armoured cables can withstand 10daN/sq mm on the armour wires.
Assembly temperature: 5ºC or higher.

alternatives

Construction requirements: ICEA S 73-532 (300V and 600V), British Standard 5308, EN 50288-7 and NBR 10300.
Materials: Thermocouple extension cables can be silicone sheathed or insulated for enhanced performance when exposed to high temperature conditions. Cables can made to order based on the materials and construction alternatives described in the technical information appendix.
