description
5kV Cable (Type B) - This cable is used in the primary feeding circuit of the landlines beaconing of airport runways
Conductor: Annealed electrolytic copper, 7-wire stranding, Class B
Semiconducting: A tape with semiconducting characteristics is helically applied and with the proper overlap in between the conductor and the insulation.
Insulation: black, UV resistant XLPE (crosslinked poliethylene).
Shielded 5kV Cable (Type C) - This cable is used in the primary feeding circuit of the landlines beaconing of airport runways. It has additional electromagnetic protection.
Shielding: Helically applied copper tape with suitable overlap over outer semiconducting layer.
Sheath: black, UV resistant PVC.
600V Cable (Type B) - This cable is used in the secondary or emergency feeding circuit of the landlines beaconing of airport runways.
Conductor: Annealed electrolytic copper, 7-wire stranding, Class B.
Insulation: black, UV resistant XLPE (crosslinked poliethylene).
installation
Assembly: Minimum bend radius is 7xOD for unshielded cable and 12xOD for shielded cables.
Maximum pulling tension: 5daN/mm² on copper conductors.
Assembly temperature: 5ºC or higher.
