Multi-quad Cable
For low and high frequency electrical signals transmission, for the transmission of electrical current in a low tension and intensity regime, for vocal communications. Used in on-surface train operations. Installed in trays, cable ladders, in direct open air or indoors, directly buried or buried in a trench or in ducts.

Conductor requirements: As per UNE 21011-2 – IRAM NM 280
Conductor: Single annealed electrolytic copper wire
Insulation: High density polyethylene (HDPE)
Assembly: 4 conductors twisted in a compacted quad. Diagonally opposing conductors make the pair
Lay length: Lower than 150mm
Bedding: Low density polyethylene (LDPE)
Shield: Copper tape with the correct thickness and overlap to comply with reduction factor lower than 0.3 (FR <0.3)
Separation inner sheath: Low density polyethylene (LDPE)
Armour: Double galvanized steel helical tape
Sheath: sunlight resistant, low density polyethylene (LDPE)
Outdoors requirements: As per UL 2556 (UV Resistance)
Fire requirements: As per IEC 60332-1 / UNE-EN 60332-1-2 (Fca class)
